Exciting New Things!

I have many exciting new things going on in my life right now. Next week I am starting a new part time job. I’m also starting a new devotional with a group of friends and others.  I recently started a publishing company to self-publish my book. I’m working on publishing that book this month. I also just started a wellness journey incorporating essential oils into my life. That is a lot of “new” going on at once.

I’m going to be honest.  It can be a bit scary to think about. So allow me to take my fears and turn them into excitement and opportunity with you.

New jobs can be scary. I’m going to be in a new atmosphere around new people with new products. I’m going to have to learn new things. I could be afraid, but I would much rather be excited about this new job.  I get to be in a new place. I get to meet new co-workers and customers. I get to learn new things. I get to work for a local business where I feel like I’m making more of a difference. How exciting!

Next week I’m starting a new devotional with a group of people, and I only know a few of them. Guess what? That’s exciting too! I get a chance to meet new friends. There’s just something about feeling connected to other people. These ladies are going to be reading the same words I’m reading each day with the same goal to focus on.  That means that as I’m praying about our topic for that day I can pray for others too.  It also means that we can comment on our group page and help and encourage one another through this journey.

Starting a new business is scary. There’s paperwork and fees, and I feel like there are so many things I still don’t know. But I did it. I took it one step at a time. I had to learn some things along the way.  And now I’m excited for the opportunities ahead for my business and my book. I am really putting myself out there with my book once it’s released, but it could help others. I just keep reminding myself it is not for me.  It’s for others.  Someone else out there needs my words.

I recently started using essential oils, and I decided to start selling them too. I had not planned on making this into a business when I got my kit. I just wanted to use them. However, I’m so excited about the benefits of oils and how they can help promote wellness that I really want to share them with others. There is so much to learn about them. I want to see oils make a difference in the lives of my friends and family. So, friend or family member, if you haven’t asked me about oils yet, what are you waiting for? I’m so excited to talk to you about them! I may not be able to answer every question, but I will do my best.

Friends, there are so many things I could be worried about this month with all this “new” happening in my life, but why worry? Why waste a moment that could be used for excitement instead?

I used to be so afraid of change. Now I’m loving it. I am so excited for these new things!

I encourage  you this week to turn your worry into opportunity. What are you not seeing that you could be excited about?

Be excited!

Be brave!
