I wanna be infectious! Recently, a friend described a mutual friend as “infectious,” and I haven’t been able to get that word out of my mind. To be described as infectious in a positive way is quite meaningful. It means you have an effect on others, influence those around you, and are catching.
That word has stuck with me because I wanna be infectious. I want my speech and my actions to be catching to others. I want my love for Christ to be infectious! I want my passion for living a cleaner and healthier life to be infectious! I want my quest for being brave and making dreams come true to be infectious. I wanna be infectious!
I wanna be generous. I want to be generous with more than what is asked. I want to be generous without being asked. I want to be generous with my God-given talents. I want to be generous without thinking about myself. I want to be generous without it being known. I want to love generously and give generously. I wanna be generous!
I wanna be grateful. I want to be grateful each morning I wake up. I want to be grateful for the abilities I have been given. I want to grateful for the home that I live in. I want to be grateful for the husband I spend every day with. I want to be grateful for the money we have that keeps bills paid and food on our table. I want to be grateful for friends that encourage me and put up with me on good days and bad. I want to be grateful for lessons learned. I want to be grateful for the nature we so often take for granted. I want to be grateful for the simple things. I wanna be grateful!
I could go on with all the things I want to be, but these are probably the top three.
We want a lot out of life, but too often we let life take a lot out of us.
So pause, and think about what you want to be. Then keep reminding yourself. You may need to write your words down and put them somewhere to remind you each day but don’t let them slip away…
