Are you telling everyone what you wish you could do, what you want to do, and what you are going to do?
Now – Are you actually doing anything? Are you telling others about your goals and dreams, but not actively working to reach them?
If so, why? Why are you talking about it, but not doing it?
Need some help with those excuses? Here we go…
I don’t know how.
Well, learn how. Get a book. Watch a video. Take a class. Find a mentor. Do what you need to do to learn what you need to know to accomplish that dream.
I learned HTML in order to design my photography website. I am learning new things right now as I work to publish my book.
Am I able to learn it all in a day? No. Is it going to be challenging? Yes. When it is done though, it will mean so much more to me knowing what it took for me to get there.
So start learning.
I don’t have the money.
Look up the life stories of the most successful, or wealthiest people in this country, and you will find that most of them did not have the money at the beginning of their dreams either.
Can you take on extra work? Can you cut your expenses? What are willing to sacrifice to see this dream come true?
Start saving now.
It will take too long.
Well, would you rather be working towards it knowing you will get there someday, or tell everyone later that you didn’t get there because you never started?
The longer you wait, the longer it takes.
Do, or do not, but make the decision.
“Don’t talk about it. Be about it.” – Bob Burns
I have this quote on the wall, and I read it every day. It is my reminder to do what I need to do for my dreams to come true. Some days I may not accomplish much, but when I go to bed I want to know that I did something, no matter how small, to move closer to my dreams.
So friends, this is it. No more excuses. Start doing.
